Terms of use
Last updated 4 November 2026
These terms apply when you use CarbonCharts. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.
Not financial advice. CarbonCharts is a tool for studying markets. Nothing on it, including indicators, scripts, scans, alerts, backtests, paper trading or chat, is investment, financial, tax or trading advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Trading is risky and you can lose money. Your decisions are your own.
Who we are
CarbonCharts (“we”, “us”) provides the service. Contact: hello@carboncharts.com.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to use CarbonCharts.
- Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account; tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- New accounts may wait for our approval, and we may decline one. One account per person.
Price
CarbonCharts is free for now. We may introduce paid plans; we'll tell you before anything you use starts to cost money, and you'll be able to decide then whether to pay. Nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Referrals: for every person you refer who signs up with your invite link and whose account is approved, you get one free month of a paid plan once we start charging. Referrals made through spam, fake accounts or misleading posts don't count, and the free months have no cash value.
Using CarbonCharts fairly
Don't:
- break the law, or use CarbonCharts to mislead people about investments (for example pump-and-dump schemes or fake signals for sale);
- harass, threaten or abuse others, post hateful or sexual content, or spam the chat (we may star out swear words, refuse slurs, mute people and remove messages);
- try to get into other accounts, the admin side, or parts of the service you aren't meant to reach, probe or attack it, or upload malicious code;
- overload the service, scrape it, or access it with automated tools other than the ones it offers;
- resell or redistribute CarbonCharts, or the market data you see in it, without our written permission.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why.
What you create
- Your layouts, drawings, scripts, messages and images stay yours. You give us the permission we need to store them and run the service with them, for example to save your workspace, calculate your indicators, or show a chart image to people who open its link.
- Scripts you submit for publication: by submitting, you confirm you have the right to share the script, and you allow us to review it, run it on our servers and make it available to other CarbonCharts users while it's published (as limited by any sharing setting you choose). We may decline, unpublish or edit a script for safety or correctness. If you port someone else's script, respect its licence.
- Content you share (chat messages, published scripts, chart-image links) can be seen by others; see the privacy policy.
Market data and other services
- Market data comes from exchanges and data providers: crypto downloaded by your browser, stocks, ETFs, forex and commodities from our market data provider through our server. It can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and a source can stop working. Those providers' own terms apply to your use of their data, including any limits in your country.
- Charts are drawn with TradingView's Lightweight Charts™. CarbonCharts isn't affiliated with or endorsed by TradingView, Inc.
Alerts and notifications
Alerts are a convenience, not a guarantee. They depend on price data reaching our server, on email and push services, and on your device. An alert can be late, fire on unusual data, or not fire at all. Don't rely on an alert alone to manage a position.
The service as it is
We work to keep CarbonCharts running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change, add or remove features, and there may be interruptions and data loss; keep your own copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for trading or investment losses, lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of CarbonCharts, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (while CarbonCharts is free, that is zero). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
Ending
You can stop using CarbonCharts and ask us to delete your account at any time (see Support). We may stop offering CarbonCharts, with reasonable notice where we can.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users before it applies. Continuing to use CarbonCharts after that means you accept the new terms.
